The site is best suited for morning flights when the wind is typically eastbound, shifting to the west around noon. Pilots often take off in the morning and soar, landing at places like Alto Hospicio to wait for the wind to change for a second takeoff. There are multiple launch options within a 200-meter radius, providing flexibility depending on wind conditions. The site has a good packed dirt road leading to the top, accessible by a 4x4 vehicle.
