Babadag 1700 Oludeniz Low Launch

At an elevation of 1717 meters, this launch site is very frequently used and offers some cross-country (XC) possibilities, especially in the spring. The standard wind direction is from the southwest (SW), but north/northeast (N/NE) winds are also possible on the other side of the ridge. The launch area is well-prepared with a stone-plastered surface and available toilet facilities. Recent improvements in 2012 have enhanced the surface of the launching zones and the roads leading up the mountain. Transport to the site is now provided by closed buses, making the journey much faster than in previous years. This is the first and lower launch you will encounter on your way up to Babadag Mountain, facing towards the sea. Be aware of some turbulent areas outside the start zone; it's advisable to consult local tandem pilots for guidance. The landing zone is located at the beach. Region: Oludeniz - Fethiye - Turkey.
