Parapente Rials old

Located at an altitude of 1,187 meters, this paragliding site in Spain is occasionally used for thermal soaring, with some potential for cross-country (XC) flights. This is the old Rials takeoff, which has been largely replaced by the newer and more accessible Nuevo Rials takeoff. The takeoff area is at an altitude of 1,180 meters, while the landing zone is at 915 meters, giving a vertical drop of 265 meters. The takeoff is oriented towards the southwest (SO) and is covered with grass, although it is relatively short. Note that landing at the takeoff site is not possible. Be cautious of strong winds around midday, as the takeoff can be technically challenging with both strong and light winds due to its abrupt edge.
